The Fashion Social Network | WIWT.com

24 year old fashion blogger Poppy Dinsey has been one of the blogosphere's fastest rising stars since she launched her blog last year. Documenting her daily outfits - which range from bikinis to blazers - what started as a New Year's resolution began to gather pace and now gets 250,000 visitors a month and has eveolved into a new venture for Poppy.

Poppy saw the success of her blog as an innovative opportunity to provide an outfit sharing network for the rest of the world. She says, "I quickly realised there was a demand for other people to be able to join in the fun." And so WIWT.com was born...

Launched today to coincide with the start of London Fashion Week, WIWT is Poppy's project in collaboration with Caffeinehit, a top web agency based in Shoreditch. The site allows anyone to upload and share photos of their outfits, whatever, or wherever they may be. In addition, the user can tag what they are doing, how they are feeling, and what brands they are wearing. As well as the main site, WIWT has also launched a handy iPhone app to support the site and allow users to share their daily looks direct from their phone.

Although there are many other social networking sites which have been developed, WIWT has already proved popular - the beta site had a waiting list of thousands, and over 1,900 outfits were shared on the test site from all over the world. In their own words, accessibility is a priority for the website and therefore key to the success of its community. “So many of the outfit sharing sites that are currently available are either too ‘fashiony’ or too bitchy. Users can award the outfits they like gold stars, but we haven’t gone down the route of rating outfits out of ten as this can open the flood gates to cattiness. And we’re not asking our users to pose on a disused railway line in their grandmother’s antique lace tablecloth which they’ve fashioned into a natty dress, we’re happy with photos of tracksuits taken on a camera phone in the mirror. In fact, over half of the outfits currently on the site have been self-portraits taken with camera phones which is why we’ve been so keen to launch the iPhone app."

We were thrilled to discover that YogoEgo's very own pink pussy bow blouse has already been shared by one user on the site, teamed with black leggings and an amazing pair of wedges!
