Chunky knits, geometric prints, sheepskin, and fringing; put them all together and what do you have? The Folk trend. Usually fashion dictates that we sacrifice comfort for style but as autumn sets in, temperatures start to fall and our thoughts turn to hibernation - this is one trend which will have us all reaching for a cosy cardigan!

On the catwalk designers were influenced by the Bohemian 70's vibe, ponchos and capes, were the cover-up of choice. At House of Holland models wore hand crafted patchwork scarves. Mixing different textured and layering is key; wear a pretty chiffon dress with an oversized cardigan and chunky boots for an easy weekend look.

Autumnal brights are essential to the colour palette, choose olive green, rust orange, cherry red, deepest purple and camel.
